A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NHDC (Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation) Limited (A Joint Venture of Government of Madhya Pradesh) and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal for extending financial assistance of Rs 10 crores for providing sophisticated Research Instruments for upcoming State-of-Art “Central Instrumentation Facility” at AIIMS, Bhopal under Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of NHDC Limited.
This is for the first ever that a MoU is signed under Corporate Social Responsibility initiative for up-gradation of medical facilities at AIIMS Bhopal. It is a unique facility which is coming up first of its kind which is presently not available in any of the six new AIIMS including AIIMS, New Delhi. It will undoubtedly enable the Institute to have research equipment and technique for keeping abreast with the best of Medical Institutions and Hospitals to serve the people in much better way.
VK Gupta, Chief General Manager (BD)/Nodal Officer-CSR, NHDC Limited and Prof (Dr) Sarman Singh, Director, AIIMS Bhopal signed the MoU. During the function, the Director, AIIMS, Bhopal Prof Sarman Singh expressed that such initiatives will certainly augment the core activities of AIIMS Bhopal where hundreds and thousands of patients visit for quality health care under the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The “Central Instrumentation Facility” is to be started within specified time and the Director, AIIMS, Bhopal ensured that it will be completed much in advance, meeting all the parameters set for the purpose.
During this occasion of signing of MoU, Dr Naresh Kumar Arya, DCMO, Sandeep Kumar Jain, DGM and Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Manager(CSR) representatives of NHDC and Dr Arneet Arora, Dean (Academics), Santosh Sohgaura, Dy. Director (Admin.), Dr Shashank Purwar, Associate Dean (Academics), Jeetendra Saxena, Superintending Engineer, Cmdt. PK Mishra, Financial Advisor, Benny Abraham, Registrar, Gaurav Dwivedi, Sr AO, Soumya Anie Tripathi PPS to Director and Vishal Kumar Gupta, AO representatives of AIIMS Bhopal were present.
