Indore collector Manish Singh has ordered to curb the menace of illegal liquor as now the Indore district is unlocked for 24x7 for which assistant excise commissioner Indore Raj Narayan Soni has formed different team to check entire Indore district.
The team of excise department led by Excise Controller Indore Rajeev Dwivedi and DEO Santosh Singh Kushwaha did an effective action against the illegal liquor smugglers in Indore district. A four-wheeler loading jeep mpo9 gh 6045 carrying 25 boxes of country made liquor total quantity 225 bulk liters worth value Rs 1,35,000 of liquor and Rs 8lakh of jeep. The accused raju son of kailash sonare and sagar shinde son of kailash chandra both resident of Indore was arrested. In another case 345 units of country made liquor around 62 bulk liters worth value Rs 37,500 was recovered from the house of nitesh choukse of village Bhangia ps Banganga.
A youth Yogesh Bhabhar was arrested on Mhow Manpur State highway carrying 339 units of country made and foreign liquor on two-wheeler scooter in two jute bags. The total quantity of illegal liquor seized by excise department is around 61 bulk liters worth value Rs 1.11L with scooter. All the 4 smugglers were arrested under excise act section 34 (1) and 34(2). ADEOs Rajeev Mudgal Rajkumar Nigam Girish Pratap Singh Sikarwar, Manish Barwe, Sub Inspectors Santosh Singh, Meera Singh, K C Roiwal, Manish Rathore, Manmohan Sharma, Devendra Sharma Priyanka Sharma were the part of different trap teams.
