I have learned the basics of acting from Capstone Academy and it is undoubtedly good to be back here,” says TV actress Shilpa Raizada.
Shilpa was here in Bhopal on Thursday to interact with the students of Capstone Academy. Also she gave some tips and advice to the students regarding direction and acting in films. It was a part of the 10-day-long workshop on direction and acting organised by Capstone Academy.
Known for the serials like Jodha Akbar, Humari Devraniya, Krishnaben Khakhar wala and Veer Shivaji, Shilpa said, “I have a passion for acting and only this passion took me where I am today.” “I learned and brushed up my acting skills from Ravi Williams and as soon as I reached Mumbai and gave auditions I was signed for the negative role in Humari Devraniya on Star Plus. Besides, I was nominated for the best actress in negative role, she added.”
On career in acting and direction she said, “Today the industry welcomes new talent with new opportunities. The industry is keenly looking for actors and directors”. She said that the students who come to Mumbai without any professional training face a lot of struggle and it is a great opportunity for youngsters who are getting training at a low cost.
She congratulated Prince Patidar for setting up such an academy at Bhopal and arranging such a workshop here.
