The most essential measure towards the protection of women is to find out a long term solution and One Stop Crisis Centre is the first step towards it,” said Bollywood actor Aamir Khan at the launch of India’s first One Stop Crisis Centre.

Khan, who raised issue of women protection in the second season of his television series ‘Satyamev Jayate’ interacted with the media persons and shared his views concerning the women protection and its measures in the country.

In a candid talk with media persons here on Monday, Khan said, “I am extremely happy to be here at the launch the country’s first One Stop Crisis Centre. This is one of the most essential steps taken towards the protection on women.” Elaborating about the security measures, Khan said, “A police officer at every street does not signify protection or a secure measure instead it indicates how insecure the country is.” “So my suggestion is to develop a sense of responsibility among girls and boys together. If we make girls strong to care of themselves and make boys learn the respect of women we will definitely have zero cases of rape,” the actor added.

Khan said, “The next essential step is to lodge an FIR as soon as possible. Through Satyamev Jayate’s season second we were informed that in most of the cases FIR is never lodged and ultimately no action is taken, which on the other hand is another big issue to be concern about.”

“I am much contented that Madhya Pradesh Government has taken the initiative to launch India’s first One Stop Crisis Centre at State capital, which in future will be launched in every district of the State. I am much influenced by the State government that it takes steps for the betterment and welfare of the women in society.” Elaborating more, he said, “For any assistance in future I and my team will always be there.”
