On the instuctions of Dhar collector Priyank Mishra ACE Dhar Vikram Deep Sangar has initiated a special drive to check illegal sale hoarding and transportation of liquor.
Total 92 bulk litres of liquor including foreign liquor country made liquor beer cane and hand made liquor was confiscated from grocery shop and other places in pithampur tehsil area. One case of 34(2) and two case of 34 (1) was registered and the accused were sent to jail.
According to sources the country made liquor havig label printed permitted for sale in Indore district is being smuggled to Dhar district on large scale from Manpur, Pithampur and Betma road which connects Dhar district to Indore district.
The excise department is now conducting naka checking randomly at various roads in Dhar district. ADEO Radheshyam Rai ADEO Rajesh kumar Jain S I Pragya Malviya S I Munindra and SI Devendra Sharma are leading different teams of Naka checking.
