The police and STF investigating the PMT scandal have found that Brijbhan Singh Rajpoot who had passed PMT examination in 2008 couldn't clear his first semester up till now. When the police verified his record it was known that he had passed 10th examination in 1993 and 12th examination in 1996.

During interrogation, Brijbhan Singh told the police that before appearing for PMT he was a journalist and working in Gwalior for various newspapers from 1998 to 2007. In those years, his two friends who were formerly in the medical college told him that he also could become a doctor by paying Rs 3.5 lakh. With this, he followed the advice and cleared the PMT examination in 2008.

The police also arrested a doctor serving as Government doctor for the last 12 years who had taken admission in the medical college in 1996. The name of the doctor is Rajendra Arya. He is a resident of Darpan colony. In the initial interrogation Dr. Arya confessed to  helping 6 students in getting admission through the PMT by taking money. The police also came to know of 2 more doctors involved in the racket.

The medical students of 2009 batch asked the action committee which is investigating the documents why their names have been included in the list of doubtful students. A list of 35 students of 2009 batch was prepared.

After the names of 21 students out of 35 were included in the doubtful category by the committee headed by Dr Avinash Chandra, these students filed cases in the High Court and the Supreme Court which issued orders to the GRMC. In compliance with the orders the action committee heard their cases.
