Misrod police arrested the absconding accused carrying a reward of Rs 5000 on his head and was involved in cheating by selling the same plot to two different persons, accused was absconding for over one and a half years.
The accused made a contract with two persons to sell a plot and used to cheat lakhs of rupees in the name of selling plots.
In August last year a complaint was made with Misrod police station against VR Builders and Developers Company, Wasim Patel, Dhar Road, Indore in Diamond Park, Bangrasia. B-41 Patel made a contract by taking a lump sum amount of Rs 8.22 lakh and not getting it done in the name of the complainant, but in the name of any other person.
After the preliminary investigation police registered a case under sections 420, 467 and 468 of the IPC and started investigation.
A team was formed in the case and during the investigation it was found that the accused was in Satara, Maharashtra. After sending the accused to Maharashtra, the accused escaped and was later arrested from Indore.
The accused was identified as Wasim Patel of Green Park Colony Dhar Road Indore.
The accused used to take money from two or three persons at the same time in the name of selling the same plot, after registering the plot in the name of any one of the persons he would cheated with the remaining by not returning the money.
