A 71-year-old man died after he was hit by a speeding train at Habibganj railway crossing in the evening on Thursday.
According to the police an injured man was rushed to a nearby hosptils where he was declared dead. The deceased was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. In the initial investigation the deceased was identified as Anand Shankar Vajpayee.
The deceased was hit while trying to cross the railway tracks and was not able to save himself from the speeding train which hit him at the time of the incident. The deceased used to work with HEG in Mandideep and after his retirement he used to live at Arera Colony.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile a 16-year-old minor girl who committed suicide by setting herself ablaze on February 14 at her residence in Bhagwati Nagar died in the evening on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.
According to the police the deceased set herself ablaze at her residence and later died while undergoing treatment.
The deceased was abducted and sexually assaulted after she was lured and accompanied the accused on August 5, 2016. later she was rescued and accused was jailed. The deceased used to remain depressed and committed suicide on February 14. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
