Piplani police have nabbed a 67-year-old man for sexually assaulting a 52-year-old woman at Patel Nagar on Tuesday.
The accused identified as Manoharan was produced in the court and was sent under judicial custody who sexually assaulted her on Monday.
SHO of Piplani police Brijesh Bhargava said that the victim use to live alone and stitch clothes for earning.
The accused used to tease her and on Monday he entered her house and sexually assaulted her.
The victim used to live at her realtive’s house while husband and son work in other city.
In her complaint, the victim stated that when she was alone in her house the accused entered the house and tried to sexually assault she raised alarm and escaped the spot and reported the incident with the Anand Nagar police out post.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 376, 354,294 and 506 of the IPC.
The accused was produced in the court on Tuesday and was sent under judicial custody.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl was molested by a doctor at a private hospital under Aishbagh police station on Monday.
The victim lodged a complaint of molestation against a doctor who works at All Care Hospital.
The doctor identified as Tareeq works with the hospital.
The police have registered a case under section 376 and sections of POCSO Act.
Details of the accused would be obtained and search for the accused has been
started.
