Minister of State (Independent Charge) for School Education, Inder Singh Parmar has said that National Education Policy 2020, along with the restoration of Indian culture, civilization and pride, is the most important step taken after independence in the direction of making India the head of the world. In the National Education Policy, it is necessary to consider the evaluation of students from the point of view of the overall merit of the student in addition to the present form of examinations.
The Minister was addressing the concluding ceremony of the two-day National Seminar on "Board Reforms and Assessment" organised at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Centre in Bhopal. Parmar said that class five and eight board examinations will be taken from this session. Elaborate preparations have been made for this. Parmar emphasized the importance of language for radical change in the field of education and also spoke about studying and teaching in mother tongue. Parmar said that 53 world-class schools in Madhya Pradesh are being built. Shri Parmar said that 350 CM Rise Schools are being established to improve the quality of education in a big way. Efforts are that the students can acquire knowledge of the languages of other states of the country as well.
The Minister said that through this seminar, Madhya Pradesh will be able to give the idea of comprehensive evaluation and assessment to the nation. Parmar thanked the subject experts involved in the seminar and also appreciated the departmental colleagues involved in the event. Parmar said that the policy could have been made by sitting and discussing with some people of the department, but the purpose of this national seminar is to ensure participation and obtain suggestions of common people, students, teachers and social people by contemplating on the National Education Policy 2020.
Parmar said that the goal of rebuilding the nation can be fulfilled only through social suggestion and participation. Parmar said that the teacher is an important part of the nation's reconstruction and there is no substitute for it.
Only the teacher can build the personality. He said that the brainstorming process is important for the natural assessment of children. Shri Parmar said that employment can definitely be found through education.
