Crime Branch police nabbed five gamblers in a car accepting bets on the ongoing IPL T20 matches from Bharat Nagar area on Wednesday and recovered betting slips having transactions of worth lakhs of rupees, 38 mobile phones, two lED TV, one set top box, and call recorder from their possession.
The nabbed miscreants were operating betting from car bearing registration number MP04CU7404 in Bharat Nagar area of Piplani.
From the car, four accused were nabbed who were identified as Aman Mulchandani (21), Kshitij Rajani (23), Prashant Daryani(20), Vipul Sharma alias Tilli (26) of Idgah Hills.
In the investigation, when the four were quizzed, they confessed that they used to pass on the bets to Pankaj Burani (34) of Sindhi Colony and based on the information he was nabbed near Sidhi Colonh gate accepting bets on his mobile phone.
Meanwhile, Crime branch police, in another action, have nabbed 21 persons on the charge of gambling and recovered Rs 1.02 lakh cash from a farm house in Pipalia village on Wednesday.
