Jabalpur police have nabbed five miscreants and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs 5 lakh; burglars of West Bengal and Orissa were committing burglaries in Jabalpur, Seoni and Narmadapuram areas.
The gang committed over a dozen burglaries and thefts in Jabalpur, Seoni and Hoshangabad were revealed.
The police team led the action under the leadership of SP Tushar Kant Vidyarthi.
The accused were living in Jabalpur and committing thefts for the last several years. The accused were committing thefts in Jabalpur, Seoni, Hoshangabad since 2021.
Police have arrested five accused involved in the crimes. Gold and silver jewelery worth more than Rs 5 lakh was recovered from the accused.
The accused were committing crimes while living on rent. The accused used to recce while roaming as hawkers to sell utensils and clothes.
The accused used to commit burglary after recce and targeting deserted houses.
The accused had revealed 9 burglaries in Jabalpur.
Two burglaries were carried out in district Seoni and 1 Naqabjani in district Hoshangabad.
