A 46-year old man committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Geeta Nagar under Chhola Mandir police station area late night on Sunday.
According to the police, Anil Saxena was found in an unconscious state at his house in the evening on Sunday and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died late in the night.
Police were informed by the hospital and on the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation. During the investigation, it was found that the deceased consumed celphos with liquor. He was taken to Apex hospital where he died during treatment.
After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post-mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
SHO of Chhola Mandir HC ladiya said that the deceased used to work with a private company. The deceased had committed suicide as one celphos tablet was recovered from his clothes.
The reason behind the death of the deceased was not found in the initial investigation and would be investigated. The deceased used work for collection of the company and it is possible that something might have wrong with the work, he added. Police said other reasons behind the death of the deceased would be investigated.
The statements of the family members are yet to be recorded which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide. Colleagues of the deceased who used to work with him would be questioned.
