Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar witnessed its 18th Annual Sports Day with great zeal and sportsmanship. More than 3000 students of the school participated to mark the sports day in series of events. Lt Col Uday Nayak, Maratha Light Infantry from Indian Army graced the occasion as the chief guest for the day.
The guests and other dignitaries were welcomed with sapling by School Principal, Pankaj Sharma and KK Dubey, Director HR, Sagar Group followed by unfurling of school flag and declaration of meet open. Colorful balloons were released to the expression of joy and students in their respective houses presented an impressive and synchronized march past to the tunes played by the school band followed lighting of torch and pledged ceremony of sportsmanship.
A series of track events for boys and girls for primary and secondary classes which included flag race, flat race, relay race, hurdle race, sack race etc. created excitement amongst the students to score for their houses.
A synchronized display of Yoga, Aerobics, PT Drill and various formations by primary and secondary sections showcased colorful view at the ground.
A prize distribution ceremony also marked the day by honoring awards and medals to winners by the chief guests. Yamuna House (Blue House) bagged the trophy of the year 2018-19 with Arushi Rai and Tanmay Malviya bagging the Best Athlete award in girls and boys category respectively.
A felicitation ceremony to teachers, national players of school and support staff was also conducted to recognize their efforts and contributions by the chief guest.
