The district court sentenced a 36-year-old man to life imprisonment till death for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl in the month of November last year. The convict had abducted the victim and sexually assaulted her on November 26, 2015.
On Wednesday in the district court ADJ DK Paliwal sentenced the accused Radhyeshyam Meena alias Raddu of Anand Nagar to life till death and was fined Rs 25000. The convict was held guilty for abducting and sexually assaulting the victim. Under section 376(2) he was sentenced for ten years and under section 6 of the Protection of Children against sexual offences Act 2012 he was sentenced for life.
On November 26, 2015 the 9-year-old victim went missing when she accompanied with her father near Gandhi Market at around 5.30 pm and while her father was busy in getting his bicycle repair the victim went to get snacks and went missing. later she was found in the morning on November 27, 2015 in injured state. In the investigation it was found that she was sexually assaulted and complaint was lodged with the police.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 363, 376 (2)(I) of the IPC and section 3(2)(5) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act and section 6 of Protection of Children against sexual offences Act 2012.
The convict was later nabbed from his house in Anand Nagar area after the police found him accused and later it was confirmed in the investigation that the convict has sexually assaulted the victim.
