A 35-year old UP based man died after he was hit by a speeding van at Vidisha road while trying to enter his jeep on Saturday Berasia police have started investigation.
The deceased identified as Jitendra Singh Thakur was hit by a speeding van while he was trying to enter jeep. The locals rushed the injured to hospital where he was declared dead. The incident took place in the afternoon when he was taking Raja Thakur and his wife vback home at Lalitpur U.P on Saturday in his Bolero jeep.
Raja’s wife was tested positive for Covid-19 and was undergoing treatment and when she recovered Raja asked Jitendra who owned jeep to help in the journey back home. After she was discharged the three stopped at Vidisha road to take some goods and Raja came back in the jeep with food while Jitendra was trying to enter jeep and open door a speeding van hit him pushing for few meters.
The deceased sustained multiple injuries which caused his dead. After the preliminary investigation the bodies were sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 (A) of the IPC. Police said that the driver of van failed to spot Jitendra which lead to the accident.
