After having fight with wife, a 35-year-old man committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at his residence in Shiv Nagar under Chhola Mandir police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim Basant Vishwakarma committed suicide by hanging after having a fight on Tuesday.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team was rushed to the spot and when the doors of the room were broken to enter the house the deceased was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
In the initial investigation police have found that the deceased was a habitual drinker and would have frequent fights and used to assault his wife frequently. On Tuesday after having fight with his wife he locked the door from inside after removing his wife and children out of the house. The wife requested to allow her and children to enter but even after one hour the deceased remained enclosed after which his wife raised alarm for help and the neighbours rushed to her help.
Meanwhile a 20-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence in Dehri Kalan village under Kolar police station area on Tuesday.
The deceased Sunita Singh was found hanging by her husband Dhan Singh and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police said that the deceased had a fight with her husband and angered over the fight committed suicide. The police have started further investigation.
