A 32-year old man was attacked with sharp-edged weapon at Indra Sahayta Nagar under Gautam Nagar police station area on Saturday. The fight had broken out over food served at a family function in the evening.
According to the police, the victim Ramchandra Dangi was attacked by Bharon Dangi during a family function in the evening on Sunday. The victim was rushed to Hamidia hospital where his condition is reportedly stable.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot but before police could nab the miscreant he managed to escape. Based on the complaint a case was registered against the miscreant.
During the investigation it was found that the victim and miscreant arrived to attend a family function at their relative’s house and while they were having food a fight broke between the two. The fight started over a petty issue which soon turned nasty after Bharon attacked the victim with a sharp edged weapon and attacked him in his stomach and was rushed to hospital.
The police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and have started search for the miscreant.
Miscreant is still missing and police have claimed that the absconding miscreant would be nabbed soon.
Victim and miscreant work as labour and police are searching for the criminal record of the miscreant. Police are not having details of the miscreants and claimed that the friends and family of the miscreant would be questioned to find the whereabouts of the miscreant.
