Industries and Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia on Tuesday presented the ‘report card’ of her departments’ achievements after completion of one year in the third-term of Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party Government.

Claiming that the State was moving on the right track towards industrilisation and investors were keen to invest in the State, Scindia said that her department had received over 3,000 proposals worth Rs 5.89 lakh crore during the Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) - 2014 and to implement these proposals the State Government had appointed investment relation manager and nodal officer while proposals were being linked with unique ID and web portal also.

“The memorandum of understandings inked in the previous GISs may not be materialised totally but taking lessons from it, the regime had simplified the single window system and an online application ‘Intention to Invest’ and ‘Integrated investor life cycle management system’ are developed and these applications are being upgraded,” Scindia pointed out.

She said that there might be lacunae in the single window system but the government is trying to rectify it. Besides, several states are also successfully following it. To a query about expenditure to the tune of Rs 25 crore during GIS, the Minister clarified that the amount was spent in two-and-half years time but not during the summit itself.

Besides, a process is on to acquire 900 hectares land in Shivpuri District for setting up National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ), she added. To another query about the some problems with the small scale industries (SSI) in the state, the Minister said a committee has been constituted to look into the SSI affairs.
