A 30-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances at Talaiya area in the night on Tuesday. Police suspect that the deceased was poisoned. A case has been registered in this context with the related police station.
The deceased, identified as Sameer alias Rehman, was rushed to the hospital wherehe died at around 3 in the night. Police were informed that he had committed suicide. Whether he took poison or was poisoned, is a matter of investigation, said a police officer.
Investigating Officer, ASI Gopal Singh, said that the deceased was a resident of Nawab Colony and had four children from his first marriage and few months ago, he had married an another woman and provided her with a rented room in Talaiya area which was the main reason of fight between the deceased and the first wife.
In the afternoon of Tuesday, the deceased had a fight with his second wife’s husband. After the death, family members of the deceased alleged that the second wife and her husband poisoned the deceased which is under investigation, he added.
A case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
