Three persons including a woman sustained burn injuries after fire erupted in their house at Barkhedi in Jehangirabad area in the night; three are undergoing treatment at hospital.
Faizan Khan’s house was engulfed in fire due to a short circuit borne fire which broke late in the night. In the fire his son and mother were also injured.
Locals rushed to their rescue after the fire broke out. Panic prevailed in the area and people gathered to pacify the fire. Fire brigade was informed and fire tender vehicles were rushed to the spot.
Before the fire could spread and engulf nearby houses fire was controlled and pacified. The fire which broke out late in the night was pacified by locals before the fire tender vehicles could reach the spot. Fire brigade incharge told said that the fire was massive and was controlled before it would spread to other nearby houses. The timely pacifying of fire help in saving adjacent houses. The nearby houses were vacated to avert any untoward action.
The owner of the house Faizan Khan told that the fire erupted suddenly leaving them no time to escape and due to which they were injured. The three are reportedly stable and undergoing treatment at hospital.
The fire tenders told that the fire was short circuit borne or due to some other reason which would be investigated. Faizan works with BMC and in incident he sustained injuries while his mother and son were also injured in fire.
