Twenty-nine factories have been penalised by the industrial health and safety department of Indore district out of 818 registered factories of Pithampur industrial area.
The industrial health and safety department has no departmental checkers but the department has hired the chartered checkers who check the factories and submit report to the department. On their report the industrial health and safety department takes action against the factory owners.Total 29 factories have been issued notice in the year 2016-2017.
Assistant director Anand Rai Sardar told The Pioneer that we register the case against the factory owner and sent it to CGM court for further action. There is the rule of `1 lakh of penalty and 2 years of imprisonment if the factory owner is found guilty by the CGM court. But till date in most of the cases the CGM court imposes fine on the factory owners and none of them have been imprisoned till date.
Most of the checking is based on the periodical testing of the machines and life saving equipments, fire fighting arrangement which vary from 2000 liters of reserve water from the small factory to 5 lakh liters of water in big factories. The chemical plants are regularly checked.
The factories that were penalized in the year 2016-2017 in Pithampur industrial area are Galaxy component private limited, RlMPl limited, Rajratan global wires limited, Vikas auto component, Sadashiv engineers, DJ laboritries, larsen and turbo limited, JVM auto limited, MCl global steel limited, Bellmax metal private limited, Jai Balaji extraction limited, P N poly bags private limited, Vardhman Pyro fuel limited, Anant steels private limited, Simplex metal processing private limited, Narsim bags private limited, Sachdeva plastic, Ratna industries, Sarthak industrial limited, Shivanshi rolling mills private limited, Mittal appliance limited, RSPl limited , Sai Shakti Agrotech private limited, M C l global steel private limited, Mittal corp limited, commercial sine bags limited and Neo Corp international limited.
