Panic prevailed in Kanha Saiya village under Bilkharia police station area after body of a 28-year-old youth was found on Monday morning. The deceased was stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon, claimed the police after injury marks were found over the body.
According to the police, a man was found in an unconscious state near main road of Kanha Saiya village and after the youth was spotted police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The body was found around 11.30 am and later in the investigation the identity of the deceased was established at around 3 pm. The family members of the deceased were informed who identified the body as of Narendra Patel of 12 no bus stop near Habibganj.
CSP Ayodhya Nagar Rashmi Kharya said that the injury mark over chest, ribs and legs were found in the initial investigation and which were of sharp edged weapon. The circumstantial evidences suggest that the deceased was killed within past 24 hours.
Father of the deceased arrived on Sunday and was not able to provide details of the death and told the police that he was not aware regarding the reason as he was not in town for the past few days, she added.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Details of the deceased would be searched which could further help in the investigation.
