A 27-year-old man died after sustaining burn injuries while his wife died on Thursday due to injuries which they sustained on March 19 in a short circuit borne fire at their staff quarter in the premises of RD Memorial College of Nursing at Barkhedi Kalan under Ratibad police station area. .
Pritam Pal died while undergoing treatment on Friday who sustained burn injuries in short circuit borne fire on March 19. In the fire Pritam and his wife Usha sustained injuries. Usha died on Thursday who sustained severe burn injuries.
SHO Ratibad police Aditi Bhavsar said that in the statements recorded by the deceased before death he had claimed that the LPG cooking gas has leakage in the day and later they went to sleep after watching movie over mobile phone and while they were asleep fire erupted and soon spread rapidly. It was a short circuit borne and due to the leakage of LPG cooking gas cylinder it took massive shape injuring them.
The wife was not able to provide details but the husband Pritam survived for a longer period and was able to provide details clearly he reported the incident to his family and police, she added.
