A 25-year-old man drowned at water filled quarry near Pipriya village under Kolar police station area on Thursday.
Police said that a youth drowned at a stone filled quarry and police were informed after spotting the body.
With the help of the divers body was fished out and later in the investigation the deceased was identified as Satish Meena of Bairagarh Chichli.
Police found that the deceased had gone to take bath at the quarry as his bike was found near the quarry but later he drowned.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The police have started further investigation.
The post mortem report it awaited which could help in revealing details behind the death. Police said killing of the deceased could be ruled out and all possibilities would be investigated in the further investigation.
Meanwhile a 24-year-old newly married woman committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her house in Badarua village under Nazirabad police station on Wednesday.
According to the police the deceased Rajni Gujjar was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
On Wednesday afternoon, her husband went to agricultural field and at around 6 pm, family members spotted Rajni hanging body in her room.
The deceased got married in the year 2013 to Dharmendra.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
