The State government has increased the rate of dearness allowance payable to the government employees in the sixth pay scale by 25 percent with effect from March 1, 2022. It will be paid from April 2022.
The Finance Department has issued orders in this regard. With this increase, the rate of dearness allowance will be 196 percent from March 1, 2022.
It is noteworthy that by the Finance Department's circular of October 26, 2021, dearness allowance at the rate of 171 percent is being given to government servants receiving salary in the sixth pay scale of the state government from March 2022 (that is paid in April 2022).
With the decision to increase the dearness rate by the government, the rate of dearness allowance in the sixth pay scale will increase to 196% from March 2022 (paid April 2022).
