On the directives of Election Commission of India (ECI), a round-the-clock (24X7) control room has been set up for the Vidhan Sabha elections. Apart from redressing voters’ complaints, the control room is also giving election related information. Three officers of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Office and other employees have been posted at the control room.
Telephone number of the control room is 0755-2551947. Naib Tahsildar Sunita lal will be available at the control room from 8 am to 4 pm. Her mobile number is 9425117967. Tahsildar Manish Shrivastava will be on duty from 4 to 10 pm. His mobile number is 9893815129. Tahsildar Rajesh Gupta will be available at the control room from 10 pm to 8 am.
Apart from receiving directives from higher officers of CEO Office, the control room is also getting correspondence from districts and acting thereon. Two Assistant Chief Electoral Officers Govind lachhwani (9329970558) and Ramnath Singh (9993633319) and Assistant Superintendent land Records Tanweer Haleem (9826087575) have also been posted at the control room. Apart from control room, a call centre has also been set up at the CEO office to facilitate voters. Problems of voters are being solved through the toll-free number 1950, which has been connected with 10 lines.
