A 25-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her Iigri village under Gunga police station area on Tuesday; deceased was angry over her husband’s refusal to take her to parents on Rakhshabandhan.
Police said that the deceased Neetu Seharia committed suicide and was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
In the initial investigation the family members told police that deceased had dispute with her husband over visiting her parents on the festival but the husband refused due to lockdown and having no means of transport to take her home.After the fight enraged deceased went inside while husband outside, later he came and went to sleep. It was in the morning that he found his wife hanging with the ceiling. Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started investigation.
