A 24-year-old girl student of School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her hostel room; Khajuri police have started investigation.
Priyali Dey final year student at SPA was found unconscious at her hostel room in which the warden and staff reached after breaking the door when her two roommates Shivangi and Shiva reported to warden regarding no response from Priyali who was inside her room.
The hostel warden informed police and a team reached and started investigation.
Police were informed in the night while the incident occurred in the afternoon.
The hospital informed the police.
In the initial investigation nothing regarding the reason behind the death was found.
The roommates have told that deceased was a good student and was not having any problems which she was
facing.
The deceased hailed from Assam. Police have found rashes on her neck but reason of death was not ascertained as the post mortem report is awaited.
Body was sent to the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Satyagyan colony under Chhola Mandir police station area on Saturday.
The deceased identified as Kamal Gupta was found unconscious and later declared dead when taken to hospital. Police have not found any suicide note which could help in the revealing the reason behind the suicide.
The reason behind the suicide would be investigated. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC. Police have started further investigation.
The case would be investigated by CSP.
