A 24-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence in Amrai under Baghsewania police station area in the evening on Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased Kavita was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police were informed and based on the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased committed suicide late in the afternoon. The deceased accompanied with her friend to a religious procession and returned at round 5 pm after which she committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling.
Police have not found any suicide note and in the preliminary investigation police have found that the deceased used to remain depressed after her mother’s death who died a year ago and which is seen as a possible reason behind the suicide but at the moment nothing could be ascertained and reason which forced the deceased to take the extreme step would be investigated.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
After the death of her mother , victim used to live with her father who was not present at the time of the incident and when he reached at home at around 6 pm and knocked the door to enter the house but failed to get any response and later broke the door to enter the house only to find his daughter hanging.
