Aishbagh police have booked a miscreant for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman for three years; the accused escaped after the victim lodged a complaint with police.
A case of rape of a girl on the pretext of marriage has come to light in Aishbagh area. The two became friends on social media. The young man proposed, which the girl accepted.
During this, the young man raped her at a rented room on the pretext. He continued to sexually exploit her and when the girl asked for marriage, the accused refused.
ASI Boharan Singh said that a girl became friends over facebook three years ago with the accused identified as Shahid Khan, who works at a mobile shop at Ghora Nakkas. Shahid Khan is a resident of Sultanpur Raisen.
During the meetings, Shahid Khan proposed marriage in front of the complainant, which was accepted by the complainant.
The families of both met and agreed for marriage. During this, Shahid asked victim on August 21, 2022, at his rented house in Bagh Dilkusha, Aishbagh, asking her to introduce him to his sister where she was raped.
Even after this he sexually exploited her many times and when the complainant asked regarding marriage, he would escape with excuses.
After this, the victim pressurized for marriage, then the accused turned hostile. Police have registered a case against Shahid Khan. The accused has fled leaving the rented room.
