A 23-year-old divorced woman, who had attempted suicide by consuming poisonous substance near Siddharth Lake City under Piplani police station area on Tuesday, died on Wednesday; deceased was depressed over failure of first marriage and not getting married for second time. According to the police, the deceased Pooja Uike was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police have not found any suicide note and found that the deceased married two years ago in Mandla but the marriage failed and she separated and started to live with her mother in Bhopal.
The deceased used to remain depressed over failure of her first marriage as the husband deserted her after differences between them and later during her stay in Bhopal she was not able to go for second marriage.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 60-year-old man died after he was hit by speeding car near Samardha while trying to cross road late in the night Tuesday; Misrod police have started investigation.
The locals informed the police after spotting a man hit by speeding car and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased was identified as Rameshwar of Samardha. The car driver escaped the spot with the car.
Search for the errant driver has been started and based on the registration number the details of the car would be searched which would help in tracking the owner and errant driver during the further investigation.
