Fuelled by an old enmity, a 22-year-old youth was stabbed to death by four miscreants near Laharpur culvert under Katara Hills police station area in the evening on Thursday.
Panic prevailed in the area after a youth was beaten brutally by four men and during the fight he was attacked with a sharp edged weapon in his stomach and later he died after been taken to a nearby hospital. The deceased was identified as Vikram Prajapati of Kumhar Mohalla while one of the four accused was identified as Manish Ahirwar and three others have to be identified yet. SHO Katara Hills KL Dangi said that the deceased used to talk and tease sister of the accused which was found in the initial investigation and was the main reason behind the killing of the deceased.
He was stabbed in the stomach which proved fatal. Manish was arrested in the investigation while three are still at large. The accused and deceased work as labour and used to live in nearby shanties. Details of crime by the accused are yet to be found. The search for the three absconding accused is intensified, he added. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and started further investigation.
The incident took place at around 7.30 in the evening while the deceased died around 9 pm, said police. The statements of the family members of the deceased are yet to he recorded.
