Angry over scolding by her father, a 22-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Baghmughalia under Baghsewania police station area on Monday.
According to police, the deceased girl is identified as Lalita Ahirwar of Nai Basti in Baghmugaliya was found hanging and when rushed to a nearby hospital she was declared dead.
Police were informed and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation. After the preliminary investigation body was sent for the post mortem.
In the initial investigation police found that the girl was scolded by her father who works as a security guard for talking over phone for long. It was also found that the deceased stayed overnight on Sunday at her friend’s house and returned in the morning on Monday.
The deceased was pursing computer course after completing her graduation.
In the evening on Monday after she was scolded by her father she locked herself inside a room hanged herself to death. Parents knocked the door but they failed to get response and door was broke and found her hanging body after which she was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Police have found a suicide note in which she stated that she has taken this extreme step according to her will and no one should be held responsible for her suicide. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC.
