A 21-year-old girl lodged a complaint of sexual exploitation against a youth with the Kolar police station on Monday. According to the police the victim who works as a receptionist lodged a complaint against Vijay Chouhan who exploited her sexually on the pretext of marrying her. The victim who used to work with Vijay’s elder brother came in contact with him few years ago. Vijay used to visit his elder brother and during this, he developed friendship with the victim. The friendship soon turned into relationship which continued for two years and when the accused after several requests of the girl refused to marry her, she lodged a complaint with the Kolar police.
Accused told the victim that the family members would not agree for their marriage and refused to marry. Earlier also to evade marriage the accused used to provide different excuses and would evade the marriage. After the victim was refused marriage she persuaded her family for marriage and around two months ago the family visited Vijay’s house with marriage proposal but the family rejected the proposal.
