A 20-year-old girl was sexually exploited for the past 8 months on the promise of marriage at Jehangirabad area, a complaint was lodged by the victim on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Imran Qureshi for the past six years and during the period assured her of marriage and continued to sexually exploit her.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 376 and 376 (2) N of the IPC.
The victim came into contact with the accused around a year ago and was lured by the accused of marriage. The two developed relationship and in the month on April the victim was accompanied and sexually assaulted and the ordeal continued for the next eight months years. The victim claimed that she was after sexual assault accused lured her of marriage and later he refused to marry.
She told police whenever she would ask of marriage, the accused could escape with excused. The victim informed her parents and they approached Jehangirabad police and lodged a complaint.
The accused is still absconding and search has been intensified, said police. The details of the accused are yet to be investigated as the victim was not aware of has whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Gunga police have booked a miscreant who molested a 17 yea-old girl at Gunga on Tuesday.
Rohit Kushwaha used to tease and harass the victim and on Tuesday he molested victim after which a complaint was lodged by victim. The accused has been booked for molestation and POCSO Act.
