A 20-year-old girl died under suspicious circumstances after she fell from balcony of second floor at Puspha Nagar under Aishbagh police station area late in the night on Saturday, she died while undergoing treatment in the evening on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Pooja Malivya was rushed to a nearby hospital after she was spotted at around 4 in the morning by a local and later referred to Hamidia hospital were she died during treatment in the evening on Sunday.
After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The police have started further investigation.
In the initial investigation, police have found nothing which reveals the reason of her fall and due to which the death occurred under suspicious circumstances. She sustained head injuries, which caused her dead.
The parapet wall was around 3 fts and possibly when the girl while talking tried to take support backwards she fell.
The deceased was pursuing B.Com first year from a private college and in the initial investigation it was found that the girl was speaking over phone and lost her balance and fell but no one spotted her and later when she was found in an injuries state she was taken to hospital.
For few hours, she remained lying on the road. Police said that reason of the death would be investigated.The girl fell at around 2.30 am and was spotted at around 4 am. The parents are involved in laundry work, their statements are yet to recorded.
