A 20-year-old youth died while his sister escaped with injuries after their motorbike was hit by a speeding bus at Barkhedi Dev area under Naseerabad police station area on Friday.
Police said that the injured was taken to hospital with the help of locals who informed police and ambulance where the bike rider was declared dead while the girl with him escaped with injuries.
The deceased was identified as Gabbar Singh Gurjar who was on his way to drop her sister Susheela to her in-laws and got injured when his bike was hit by a speeding truck.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case and started further investigation. The police have booked the errant driver under section 304 A of the IPC and started searching for the accused.
Police found that Gabbar was with his sister who lives with inlaws in Lodhipur and was taking her to her in-laws house.
The locals informed the police and on the receipt of the information police team rushed to the spot and started investigation. Further details are under investigation, said police. The condition of Susheela was critical till the filing of the report.
