Two more people were on Thursday arrested in connection with the recent deadly attack on the lahar Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) by sand mafia.
With these arrests, police have held five accused in this connection. However, as many other accused, including former Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Rasal Singh's brother Yogendra Singh and nephew Sanjeev Singh, were still absconding.
Revenue officials in the Chambal division are incensed over police not being able to arrest all the accused. SDM Rajesh Rathore reached Matiyavali sand mine on June 11 for inspection when Yogendra, Sanjeev and their friends reached the spot and attacked them.
