The TT Nagar police have booked two miscreants who opened fire at 32-year-old man at Banganga area in the evening on Tuesday.
The victim identified as Ilyas Baig alias Gucchi was rushed to hospital where his condition is reportedly stable. Police have started search for the two miscreants who hold criminal record and have been booked for serious crimes by different police stations of the state capital.
SHO TT Nagar Alok Shrivastava said that the accused and victim have old enmity and both parties are involved in criminal activities. The attack was done during a pre-wedding proramme of Altaf where Ilyas Baig alias Gucchi was present and was shot in elbow of her right hand and escaped the spot.
The accused were identified as Salman and Tanzeel who had dispute with the victim for long, he added.
Shrivastava said that several places have been raided in the search for the absconding accused and few persons have been detained who are close aides of the accused which could help in determining the whereabouts of the accused.
The victim in his statements claimed that he was dancing at Altaf’s pre-wedding programme and went unconscious after he was hit by bullet. He regained conscious at Chirayu hospital. He alleged that Salman and Tanzeel have opened fire to kill him but missed the shot and he escaped with injuries.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC and started further investigation.
