A Class XI boy committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at his Arjun Nagar residence, under Ayodhya Nagar police station area, on Thursday. Police suspect that another suicide committed by a class XI girl student, on Thursday afternoon, in Rajeev Nagar, is related to the boy's suicide. According to the police, the boy identified as Mukesh Vishwakarma (18) was found hanging at his residence and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. A suicide note was recovered in which the victim has not mentioned any reason behind his taking this extreme step and sought apology from his parents.
In the initial probe, the police have found few clues which might link the victim's suicide with the suicide of a class XI girl student, who ended her life, on Thursday afternoon, at Rajeev Nagar. Earlier on Thursday, at around 2 pm, a 17-year-old girl of class XI , Vandana Vishwakarma committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling. The reason which surfaced in the initial investigation was the low percentage obtained by the victim in her examinations due to which she took the extreme step and the boy who committed suicide was not having any such problem but following her death the boy also committed suicide late night on the same day. Nothing concrete which could link both the suicides has been found by the police but few things that point the two suicides are linked as that they were studying in the same class and residing in the nearby localities. Police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
