Two cases of sexual assault with minor girls in different places were reported in the State capital in the past 24 hours, district police have nabbed the two accused involved in the heinous crimes.
A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a youth in Bairagarh area on Thursday. Police said, Guttu Valmiki (40) was arrested on the complaint of the victim, who had gone missing on Wednesday and returned on Thursday.
She alleged that on the pretext of marrying her, the accused exploited her
sexually. He took her to a hotel, on Wednesday, raped her. He than dropped the girl near her house, on Thursday morning. After she was deserted, she informed her grandparents about the incident and later a report was filed with the Bairagarh police.
Victim lives with her grandparents in Bairagarh. Surprisingly, it was found in the investigation that the accused is married and has two children from his first marriage.
She told the police that the accused used to live in the same locality during which she became acquainted with him and lured her for marriage but later exploited her.
Accused used to frequently visit the victim’s house after her grandparents asked him to find for a suitable match for her marriage.
The accused took the victim to a hotel in the Old city area. Police have started investigating the involvement of the hotel staff and manager in the crime.
Meanwhile, in another case of sexual assault, a 14-year-old girl was captivated and sexually assaulted in Misrod area, on March 29.According to the police, the victim went missing on March 29 and a complaint was lodged by her family members. later it was found that the girl has been kidnapped by Suraj Thakur (24).
The accused abandoned the girl at 11 mile square area on Thursday evening after which the victim lodged a complaint with the police.
Accused used to work for the past one year in the same dairy where her parents used to work. The accused became acquainted and lured her of marriage and later sexually assaulted.
