A 19-year-old youth committed suicide after a dispute with his mother in Shanti Nagar under Nishatpura police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police, Rohit Avtar was found hanging in the afternoon by his family and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
During the initial investigation it was found that on Tuesday when the deceased returned after meeting his friends on Rangpanchmi he was reprimanded by his mother regarding his bad company but the deceased found her scolding very insulting and he went inside his room and committed suicide.
The family came to know about the suicide after they went to call him but were not able to get any response from the deceased and entered the room forcefully.
Meanwhile a man in the age group of 50 years was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Kali temple under Jehangirabad police station area on Tuesday.
Police were informed after the locals spotted the body and on receiving the information police team reached the spot. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police claims that the deceased died around six hours ago.
