A 17-year-old youth was booked for sexually assaulting a 35-year-old married woman and blackmailing her for Rs 2 lakh by threatening to make her obscene photographs; Ashoka Garden police have registered a case and started investigation.
The accused who hails from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh used to live in Ashoka Garden area and came in contact with the accused around a year ago and later sexually assaulted her and threatened her of making her indecent photographs public. A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim after the victim demanded continued to harass her demanding more money.
The victim in her complaint stated that she came in contact after she contacted the accused over phone by mistake and later the accused developed friendship and later they started to meet and she was sexually assaulted her and took indecent video and photograph of the victim and using the same he used to blackmail her and collected around Rs 2 lakh but his greed continued to grow and he demanded more which the victim refused to provided and reported the incident to her family members.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 (2) (N) and 384 of the IPC and started further investigation.
The accused was nabbed. He was studying in the state capital and preparing for examinations. Police said that the details of the accused would be searched as it is possible that the accused might had trapped more victims and extorted money.
