A 16 days old girl child Pari who was suffering from Anorectal malformations had faced two major operations. From birth, Pari had respiratory problem, later she was admitted in a hospital of Etawa.

During her treatment she suffered from perforation in her intestines due to which she was unable to excrete urine and stool, it was getting collected in her stomach.

When all the doctors refused to take her case, the baby girl was taken to Gwalior hospital where Dr. Ajay Upadhyay conducted the operations.

First operation was conducted so that stool and urine could be stopped from depositing in the stomach. After the success of the first operation the doctor started preparation for the second operation which was bigger in which the portion of intestine was cut off that was causing risk to the life of the child.

However, after the operation, the child began to defecate normally.

Doctor Ajay said that she is the tiniest girl child in the world to undergo such operations. He said that earlier an operation of a premature baby was conducted in Mumbai. The baby was prematurely delivered in 28 weeks while Pari was delivered prematurely in 26 weeks.

The father of the girl child lokesh Prajapati works in private firm in Etawa. Earlier, he had four children earlier all premature and did not survive. Pari is the 5th child delivered on March 23, 2013.

At the time of birth her weight was 950 grams, and now she is recovering fast, said Dr. Upadhyay.
