As many as 12 persons were injured in a bus-truck collision at Berasia square on Friday. The drivers of both the vehicles sustained severe injuries.
According to Station House Officer BD Veera, a Berasia-bound bus was hit by a speeding truck and the impact was such that the bus fell on its side.
The police have registered a case under section 279 and 337 of the IPC and have started investigation. Both the vehicles have been seized.
The victims were rushed to lBS hospital where after primary treatment they were discharged. Both the drivers of the bus and truck are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The truck was a concrete mixer truck.
Veera said the spot was prone to accidents due to absence of speed breakers on the road. In the past too, the spot has witnessed some fatal accidents.
