A 10-year-old girl was mowed down by a speeding truck at Ratua village under Gunga police station area on Sunday. According to the police a girl was hit by a speeding truck and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Kajal.
After the incident the truck driver was caught by the locals and was thrashed brutally and later rescued by the police.The locals tried to torch the truck but police disbursed the agitated villagers.During the investigation the truck bearing registration number MP04-GA-4216 was seized by the police. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC against errant driver Ismail Khan.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old youth died while his friend escaped with injuries who were injured after their motorbike skidded at bypass road under Ratibad police station area on February 27 died during treatment at a private hospital on Sunday.
According to the police an injured youth was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was hit by a speeding vehicle at bypass road. The injured was identified Rampravesh Mandal of Hathaikheda who died later during the treatment at Nobel hospital while the other injured was identified as Kamlesh who is reportedly stable.Police were informed and on the receipt a police team reached and started investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC .
