A 20-year old youth died while his friend escaped with injuries after their motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle at Samardha culvert under Misrod police station area on Sunday. The accident took place on March 23.
According to the police, two youths were injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of the youths died in the early hours on Sunday while other is undergoing treatment and is stable.
The deceased was identified as Veeru Sen a resident of Rahul Nagar in Mandideep. The incident took place when the deceased along with his friend was on his way to Bhopal for some work.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. The details of the vehicle and errant driver would be searched in the investigation claimed the police.
Meanwhile a 45-year-old woman died after she was hit by a speeding train while crossing Barkhedi railway track under Aishbagh police station late in the night on Saturday.
According to the police a woman died near railway tracks while she was trying to cross the tracks. The deceased was identified as Sona Bai.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the incident took place at around 9 pm when the deceased who was a resident of Jehangirabad on her way to her home met accident.
