State Election Commissioner Basant Pratap Singh has said that the role of deputy collectors in election is very important. He said that the head of the district is a collector, but in the field only the deputy collectors have to deal with problems. Singh said this in the election related training organized for trainee deputy collectors. He said that the training related to urban body and three-tier panchayat elections should be taken seriously. This training will be useful in government service for the next 25 years.
The State Election Commissioner said that all deputy collectors must study the Criminal Procedure Code. He said that this will increase efficiency in court-related work. He said that its module has been made for training in the academy.
Singh told the trainees to understand the IT application of the State Election Commission carefully as it is very useful. He told to take full information of EVM. If there is any tempering in the EVM, it goes into factory mode. This means that it can be repaired only in the factory. Singh said that if there is any doubt on any subject during training, then definitely get it solved.
