In a series of film screenings at Shaurya Smarak, a film ‘In Defense of Freedom’ was screened here on Sunday.
The film was all about how the Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives and are ready every time to take risk in defending our freedom. They do not care about their or their family’s life, they have a target of defending our country at the country’s bordering areas.
The film screened was about gallant of the soldiers who write the history of their valour and how they are dedicating their life to defend the country from enemy countries’ attacks. Film was seen as a tribute to our martyrs’. Director of the film V R Sharma had included all scenes of war in which Indian army men face challenging tasks at the country’s border.
It also includes in the film that the people live peacefully without any fear, it is only due to the Indian Army that people live in peace. The film is a documentary portrays the story of the Indian Army and shows about soldiers on different fields and fronts giving a good account of themselves in sports as well as in service training.
The film did not deal only with a single topic, rather it displayed the history of our army. Scenes filmed were as the Indian Army carrying arms and ammunition at the hilly areas, sometimes crossing rivers or crossing the dense forests to target the enemy country or to see their activities secretly.
V Shantaram produced this film for the Films Division of India under the direction of V R Sharma. Both were experienced and took this film as a challenge.
